Women’s’ IPL: Adani Wins Ahmedabad Franchise With 1289 Cr Bid: Check Full List Of Winners
New Delhi: Five teams, Ahmedabad — Adani, Mumbai — Reliance (MI), Bangalore — Diageo (RCB), Lucknow — Capri Global, Delhi — DC franchise will feature in the Women’s IPL. Adani Sportsline won the bid for the Ahmedabad franchise for a whopping amount of 1289 crores.
Indiawin Sports Pvt Limited won the bid for the Mumbai franchise for 912.99 crores while Royal Challengers Sports PVT Limited won the bid for the Bengaluru team with 901 crores. JSW GMR Cricket PVT limited paid 810 crores for the Delhi franchise while the final team Lucknow will be owned by Capri Global Holdings PVT Limited who paid 757 crores.

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah also confirmed that the tournament will be known as Women’s Premier League.
“BCCI has named the league – Women’s Premier League (WPL). Let the journey begin. The way for a transformative journey ahead not only for our women cricketers but for the entire sports fraternity. The WPL would bring necessary reforms in women’s cricket and would ensure an all-encompassing ecosystem that benefits each and every stakeholder,” wrote Jay Shah.
