I decked out my house for Xmas and now have a new display for Valentine’s – people think it’s pointless but I don’t care
A WOMAN who turned her home into a giant gingerbread house at Christmas has unveiled her lavish new display ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Carmen took to TikTok to reveal her elaborate creation, which sits outside the front of her rented home.
In the video, she was seen pulling off a giant pink sheet, underneath which was a structure which had been made to look like a pile of Love Hearts sweets falling out of the wrapper.
“Valentine’s Day display reveal,” she wrote over the video.
Before adding in the caption: “Disclaimer I varnished these props before using outside.
“MDF not recommended for outdoors but my giant Gingerbread House was ok outside in bad rain for two months.”
People were quick to take to the comments section to weigh in on Carmen’s new display, with many admitting they didn’t understand why she’d done it.
“I don’t understand what it really is supposed to be,” one wrote.
To which Carmen replied: “sweets falling out of a tube, or as my neighbour says ‘a giraffe’.”
“it makes no sense that that love hearts are huge and a packaging is tiny,” another added.
While a third wrote: “Don’t get the point.”
As Carmen responded: “I do this for me, for fun.
“To be fair, most of my stuff is pointless.”
However, others were more than a little impressed by Carmen’s hard work.
“WOW! You killed it, this is soooo cool!” one wrote.
“omg I love this so much,” another added.
“I was actually thinking to myself how I could decorate my house for valentines day.”
“Absolutely stunning and my favourite sweets,” a third praised.
