Mrs Hinch fans reveal £3.20 Wilko cleaning staple that will banish make-up stains in seconds
FANS of Mrs Hinch cleaning tips have revealed a £3.20 Wilko laundry staple that banished make-up stains for good.
The clean freaks took to social media to discuss the best method that left bathroom towels looking brand new.
Keeping towels fresh is hard but making matters worse are make-up stains, which can soon build up and discolour the fabric.
The divided debate came to a head when a Bread and Breakfast owner took to Facebook and posted about his troubles with keeping towels looking fresh.
The post read: “Good morning, I run a busy B&B and have a problem with stained towels.
“Mainly hand towels, where I believe make-up is the main culprit.
“I’ve tried everything to get the dark grey stains out of bright white towels.
“I’ve tried stain remover, individual make-up stain remover, Oxy powder, using bleach just on the mark etc.
“Obviously on a 95° wash cycle, soaking in bleach destroys the expensive towels.
“If anybody has any ideas please please let me know. Thanks in advance.”
In the comments, many avid cleaners suggested the household staple – Napisan.
However, it was later revealed that 800g of the washing powder could be bought at Wilko for just £3.20.
The online pundits claimed it kept towels looking brighter and banished bacteria.
“Try soaking them in Napisan,” a Facebook user said.
“Use soda crystals and Napisan in the washing machine with your usual detergent… supply microfibre make-up remover cloths that you can wash, then it saves towels,” one said.
Others said he should just try other coloured towels.
“Dark-coloured towels or deposit should be taken on check-in,” another said.
