Manager admits he is unsure if Spurs-linked centre-back will stay this summer
Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner has admitted that he is not sure if rumoured Tottenham target Evan Ndicka is likely to still be at the club beyond the end of his contract in June.
Tottenham have been linked with several left-sided centre-backs ahead of the summer transfer window, including the likes of Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie and Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni.
Alasdair Gold revealed in a Q&A for Football.London last week that Bastoni would be at the top of Spurs’ wishlist if does not extend his current contract with Inter, which runs until 2024.
Hincapie did put pen to paper on a new contract with Leverkusen recently but sources have continued to suggest over the past few days that Tottenham are expected to vie for the Ecuadorian’s signature in the summer (Ben Jacobs – CaughtOffside).
Ndicka, whose current deal at Deutsche Bank Park runs out in the summer, has also been mooted as a target for Spurs, with Frankfurter Rundschau claiming last month that the Lilywhites are one of eight clubs who hold an interest in the Frenchman.
When asked about Ndicka potentially leaving Frankfurt in the summer, Glasner has now told Kicker: “There’s communication clearly between us that we find out before you write, and I’m still going off of that. I haven’t heard from anyone yet that he (Ndicka) would have signed somewhere else.
“But, nevertheless, he’s our player until 30th June and I’m convinced that every single one of them would give everything for the success of Eintracht and the team no matter what the future looks like. I don’t know what will come out of it.”

Reading between the lines of Glasner’s statement, it sounds like he expects Ndicka to leave in the summer.
One would expect Tottenham and several other clubs to have already reached out to the 23-year-old’s representatives since he is now allowed to sign a pre-contract agreement with non-German clubs.
