I’m really pretty but I’m also fat – people say If I lost weight I would be better looking, but I disagree
A PLUS-SIZE woman has revealed that she often finds herself receiving abuse from people who constantly comment on her weight.
Mary, who goes by the name of marylinguine on TikTok, even says that trolls say she would be more “pretty” if she lost the weight.
Uploading a video to her 29.1k followers, she did a profile shot of herself with makeup on.
The caption of the video read: “Just because I’m fat doesn’t mean I’m ugly.”
She claims that trolls comment: “You would be so pretty if you lost weight”.
To which she replies back to them: “Therefore you think I’m pretty but just fat.
“Just facts.”
Over 2300 people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One person explained she was in a similar position and wrote: “Yeah the whole ‘noo you’re not fat, you’re beautiful.’ I said I was fat, not ugly.”
Another person added: “Right cuz (SIC) people always b (SIC) hating on chubby girls but sometimes we just look better.”
Someone else added: “You’re literally perfect. Never call yourself fat.”
To which Mary replied: “Being fat isn’t bad to say I am fat and pretty fat doesn’t equal ugly as most skinny people believe ‘I look fat in this; it’s actually very annoying.”
Mary’s story comes after another influencer found herself in the same position and shared it to her TikTok.

Kelcey took to her ‘Fat Elle Fanning’ TikTok page to share a video, which she began: “One thing about me is that the face card literally never declines.
“Because they’re like, ‘All this wasted potential’ and ‘You could be so f**king… rahhhh’,” she laughed.
“And it’s like, just say that being attracted to me makes you angry.”
“Cry about it,” Kelcey captioned her video, adding hashtags including #fatandpretty.
“And you grow up hearing omg, you have such a beautiful face, if only… Like no, it stops being a compliment at if only,” one person commented on the video.
