Parking enforcement resumes
The days of relaxed parking enforcement at the Cupertino Civic Center are over. Code Enforcement is issuing warnings through Tuesday, Feb. 28, for parking scofflaws at Cupertino City Hall, Cupertino Community Hall and the Cupertino Library. Full parking enforcement will start Wednesday, March 1.
Enforcement will also resume for the parking spaces along Torre Avenue and Rodrigues Avenue. Ticketing was relaxed during the pandemic.
Commission appointments
The Cupertino City Council made appointments last month to fill vacancies on various city commissions.
Connie Cunningham was appointed to the Housing Commission, with Tejesh Mistry as alternate. Kiran Varshneya Rohra, David Wang and Dana Ford are the new arts and culture commissioners, with Rani Agrawal as alternate.
Hervé Marcy, Joel Wolf and John Zhao are new to the Bicycle Pedestrian Commission, with Jack Carter as first alternate and Sreekanth (Sree) Bhaskar as second alternate.
Mukesh Garg and Prabir Mohanty were both reappointed to the Technology, Information and Communication Commission; Emma Shearin is a new appointee to that commission. Bhaskar is first alternate, and Naidu Bollineni is second alternate.
David Fung and Seema Lindskog now sit on the Planning Commission. Tejesh Mistry is first alternate; Geoff Paulsen is second alternate.
Hemant Buch and Jennifer Shearin were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission, with Claudio Bono as first alternate and Joseph (Dan) Marshall as second alternate.
