Rangers acquire Tyler Motte from Senators

The New York Rangers acquired Tyler Motte from the Ottawa Senators on Sunday in exchange for fellow forward Julien Gauthier and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

The trade was announced just minutes before the start of the Senators' home game against the St. Louis Blues.

Per the Ottawa Sun, Motte was told to go home after he arrived at Canadian Tire Centre.
