Baftas fans all have the same complaint about Alison Hammond as she co-presents awards
FANS of The Bafta Awards have all been left saying the same thing about co-host Alison Hammond.
Viewers were delighted when This Morning star was revealed to be co-presenting the show alongside actor Richard E Grant.
Alison, 48, was seen heading up on stage at the start of the ceremony alongside her co-host Richard, 65,
However, fans were quick to note how the star did not return to the podium when the announcements began.
Instead, Alison was seen sitting in a studio away from the main ceremony, as she interviewed celebs behind the scenes.
She then only returned to the stage for a short time alongside Richard, to announce Julieanne Moore.
Fans were left disappointed at the news and flooded Twitter to complain that Alison wasn’t being seen more.
They hit out that she should have been “on the stage next to Richard” as they begged: “This show needs more Alison.”
“Alison Hammond should have been on stage with Richard throughout,” one said, as a second agreed: “Alison Hammond is an absolute joy. She should be at the helm.”
“Not seen Alison Hammond. Thought she was co-presenting?” a third chimed in, while a fourth said: “This show needs more Alison Hammond.”
A fifth wrote: “These interview with Alison Hammond just spliced between the awards just doesn’t work.”
While a sixth concluded: Can we have less of these people winning awards and more of Alison Hammond please?”
It comes after Alison looked slimmer than ever as she prepared for one of the biggest jobs of her career.
Last night, Alison had a trial run at the red carpet – and the sort of glamour that will be on show tonight.
She was among the guests at the Bafta Nominees Party at The National Gallery.
She turned up in a strapless black dress with large gold stars on it, and looked sensational as she posed for the camera.
Alison has spent much of the day getting ready for the show in her suite – waking up early at her swanky suite at the Savoy Hotel.
