Helen Flanagan’s son rushed to hospital after terrifying accident at Alton Towers
HELEN Flanagan has revealed that her son Charlie was rushed to hospital after a ‘horrendous’ Alton Towers waterpark accident.
The former Coronation Street star, 32, opened up about the worrying ordeal on her Instagram story.
Helen recounted the scary ordeal as she cuddled up with her daughter Delilah, seven, on the train.
The actress headed to Stoke-on-Trent to stay at the CBeebies Land Hotel in the Alton Towers Resort with her three kids Delilah, Matilda, four, and Charlie, one.
But during their trip her youngest suffered a terrible fall.
The soap star, who shares her children with ex Scott Sinclair, told one million followers: “We went to a water park, a long story short, Charlie slipped, he slipped really really badly and it was awful, absolutely horrendous.
“I had to get an ambulance and he had snapped his collarbone into two. It was horrendous, so I spent like six hours in the hospital at Stoke.”
The mum-of-three went on to thank the health professionals who helped her.
“I’d like to say thank you to the paramedics and nurses and doctors who were amazing,” she continued.
“Thank you so much. I was literally there, at the Stoke hospital. That was awful, just horrible, horrible, horrible.
“To see your child in pain was just horrendous, but he’s ok.
“There is not much you can do for it, apparently like it mends by itself, but it’s horrible, when you’re a mum and you wish you could take pain away from them.”
Rosie Webster actress Helen captioned the video: “He’s okay bless him x just lots of love and attention and just watching him like a hawk x.”
Helen went on to explain that she has since taken Matilda and Charlie to Paris, and left Delilah at home with Scott’s mum.
The star updated fans with a video of Charlie walking around while sightseeing.
Helen captioned the clip: “Charlie’s been amazing bless him so brave x at the Eiffel Tower today.”
