Terrifying moment mattress ‘appears out of nowhere’ on motorway as cars forced to drive OVER it
THIS is the terrifying moment a mattress “appeared out of nowhere” on the motorway, forcing cars to drive over it.
A driver delivering cookies took to TikTok after they swerved the bizarre obstacle on the motorway yesterday.
Dashcam footage shows the moment a mattress erupted from beneath a red van in front of the SOS Cookies vehicle.
The van had been forced to drive over the mattress, which sprung up as it came loose from behind the vehicle.
There was no time for the SOS Cookies driver to react as the mattress flipped onto its side, with a chunk flying off into the adjacent lane on the M18 motorway in Ireland.
The mattress was ripped open on one side and heavily stained on the other.
The driver said: “I was just delivering cookies and this happened on the M18.
“It looked like it came from thin air.

“We saw a truck carrying a skip pulled in shortly after, so we think that it came from there possibly.”
A spokesperson for the Garda said that it had no record of a mattress on the M18.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland has been contacted for comment.
People were shocked by the baffling road obstruction.
Kelly said: “That’s the biggest air bag I’ve ever seen.”
Paddy said: “And that’s why you’re called SOS Cookies.”
Billy said: “You’re too close to the van in front.
“The whole point of braking distance on the motorway is for this exact reason.”
It comes after the Sun revealed that a cycle lane in Yorkshire was built with two lampposts obstructing the bike lane in both directions.
We also revealed that residents in two “forgotten” villages say they have the worst roads in Britain with drivers, walkers and cyclists being blighted by potholes.
