IT’S not quite BBQ season… yet. But spring is in the air and it stayed light past 6pm so we’re moving in the right direction.
In anticipation of the warmer months Aldi has played a blinder and brought back an iconic dupe – its version of the Big Green Egg ceramic barbecue.
Last year shoppers went wild for the copy of the pricey designer garden grill and it sold out quickly – so get moving if you don’t want to miss out in 2023.
The supermarket’s version of the Big Green Egg barbecue costs just £399.99 – that’s a whopping 69% less than the original.
Savvy shoppers who are keen for the design classic were delighted to save £895 getting the Aldi dupe.
The garden grill has amassed more than 1,000 perfect ratings online, and shoppers say it is an “unbelievable quality” and “smokes meat like a dream”.
Some bargain hunters claimed that it was just as good as the expensive version.
One person said: “It’s £700/800 cheaper than the other names and very little difference in spec.”
