These teams played back in early October with Shawinigan taking it 3-1 in a penalty-filled affair at Centre Gervais Auto.
Charles Beaudoin will be ready battle his old team in his new home. The playmaking winger has improved on his offensive numbers with the Wildcats this season -- 50GP, 18G, 13A, 31Pts last season versus 51GP, 15G, 34A, 49Pts this season.
Wildcats' speedster Vincent Labelle (24G, 36A) has been the hottest Cat in February. Vinny has 13 points so far this month, including a pair of 3-point efforts.
Oscar Plandowksi & Connor Trenholm are nursing injuries. Steinman looks to be ready to go, but callup Eli James is still around. Thomas Auger is week-to-week with an upper body injury.
Shawinigan (24-27-2-2, 52Pts) sits in 11th overall at the moment, just 1 point behind 9th-place Moncton (25-27-1-2, 53Pts). They are led up front by rookie RW Félix Lacerte (18G, 26A, 44Pts), former Moosehead Stéphane Huard (17G, 26A, 43Pts) and 19 year-old Swiss import
Lorenzo Canonica (18G, 24A, 41Pts), who was named one of the the Top 3 Swiss players in the recent World Junior tournament.
On the back-end, the Cataractes are led by D
Jordan Tourigny (5G, 34A, 39Pts) who just competed in the CHL/NHL Top Prospects game. In net, they feature veteran Antoine Coulombe (2.75 GAA, .908 SV%) who was a key piece in their championship run last season.
