Brendan Allen wasn’t expecting to compete in his first octagon headliner at UFC Fight Night 220, but that’s what happened – and he took advantage.

After Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann was canceled in the midst of Saturday’s event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Allen (21-5 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was promoted to the top of the card opposite Andre Muniz (23-5 MMA, 5-1 UFC), and managed to emerge victorious by third-round submission from the moment with a unanimous decision in the middleweight contest.
