MANCHESTER UNITED have won their first trophy for six years after a 2-0 win over Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.

Casemiro put United in front with a header which was briefly reviewed by VAR before Sven Botman’s own goal made it 2-0 soon after.

The Magpies put in a solid second half shift to get back into the game but Erik Ten Hag’s side held on.
