[Cal Pac] The 2022-23 All-Cal Pac and Defensive Men's Basketball Teams

The California Pacific Conference coaches have voted Antelope Valley's Michael Hayes as the 2022-23 California Pacific Conference Player of the Year after he led the Pioneers to a record-setting 19-1 conference record (25-1 overall), their fifth regular season title, the top seed in the postseason tournament, and an automatic berth in the NAIA National Championship.  Hayes, a junior forward out of Tracy, Calif., averaged 14.8 points per game, the fifth best in the conference, shooting a Cal Pac best 63 percent from the floor.  He made his presence known at both ends of the floor, averaging 6.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest.
