The Nation's Weather for Sunday, March 5, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a storm system moves into the northern Plains today, a
swath of accumulating snow will spread from Montana to
western Minnesota. Most locations should have light to
moderate accumulations, though a narrow swath of over 6
inches of snow is possible. Winds will also be gusty, and
will combine with snow to bring very low visibilities. Along
the West coast, additional rainfall near the coast is
expected from Oregon to Central California, with continued
snowfall in the Sierra Nevada and the Oregon Cascades.
Elsewhere in the country, in the wake of a major storm over
the Central and Eastern states at the end of the week, much
calmer conditions are likely. A few showers and perhaps a
thunderstorm can occur in the Florida Panhandle.
