I went food shopping in M&S & only paid £17 for 16 items – it’s so much cheaper than Aldi if you know an easy hack
MARKS & Spencer is often considered one of the pricier places to do your weekly food shop.
But one mum-of-three was left shocked after managing to buy £16 items for just £17.48 during her latest trip to the supermarket – and claimed it’s even cheaper than Aldi.
Emma (@emmalouise1981) took to TikTok and shared a video of the food items she bought from Marks & Spencer – including two lots of of £1.20 chicken legs, five packets of £2 beef mince and a £4 rump steak.
She also paid 50p each for tomato soup, cream of chicken soup and a bag of carrots, and £1 each for a bag of white potatoes and punnet of mushrooms.
Emma, who claimed the comparison was made on the same weight/quality of food, captioned the post: “All this cheaper than Aldi with some savings on my Sparks Card too.
“£17.48 for 16 items.”
She then shared an image of her receipt, revealing she’d saved herself an additional £4.32 by using up the offers on her Sparks card.
Among the offers was 15% off meat and fish, 15% off vegetables, £1.50 off fresh meat and 15% off fruit.
