Crucial Motorsports Confirm Second Pilot Challenge McLaren Artura
Crucial Motorsports will bring a second Artura GT4 to Sebring for series debutants and father- son duo of Ron and Eric Zitza. The Zitzas will pilot the number 85 McLaren Artura GT4 supported by SJP Motorsports and McLaren Orlando.
Crucial Motorsports Partnerships Director, Paul Holton:
“We are excited to expand to a two-car GS program for Sebring. It is a natural step in the progression of the team here at Crucial Motorsports. We are super excited about the Artura GT4 after an incredible first showing at Daytona and some positive testing since then in the lead up to Sebring.”
“Ron and Eric have a lot of driving experience together and should slot nicely into the team we have built up here at Crucial. With the support of SJP Motorsports I think they have all the tools necessary to be successful in the ultra-competitive environment of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.”
Ron and Eric Zitza own and operate Zotz Racing, an Orlando-Florida independent Porsche service and race shop.
Eric Zitza:
“I am very excited to have my pro debut with IMSA at Sebring, a track I am very familiar with and with Ron, my dad, as my co-driver. I cannot wait to work with Crucial and SJP Motorsports on the new Artura GT4 McLaren which will be new to me.”
Ron Zitza:
“After the blessings of a long successful driving career of many years, relationships with thousands of people in the Motorsport industry, no race will mean more to me than having the privilege to race with my son in his pro debut with IMSA. Working with Crucial and SJP Motorsports on the new Artura GT4 McLaren will be exciting.”
The #58 Crucial Motorsports entry notched a 6th place finish in the first ever race for the Artua GT4, starting from 28th position after an incident in final practice.
Crucial Motorsports Operations Director, Aaron Nash:
“We have a solid car from McLaren Customer Racing and a great team behind our program. I am excited to see where we go as developments are made and we learn more and more about the car. Our outlook is bright and we are excited to get the Sebring event started!”
