I’m a redheaded model – there’s a spicy term I hate and people always ask if they can count my freckles
A FLAME-HAIRED model has revealed some of the strange questions she has been asked on account of her hair color.
But she has borne it all with good humor and good grace.
Multi-talented Larsen Thompson (@larsenthompson) is an actress and model with a huge TikTok following of 1.2 million.
She is also a songwriter/performer, and a dancer to boot, showing up in Katy Perry and The Weekend music videos.
In a recent post, Larsen bemoaned some of the inquiries she has to endure just because she is flame-haired.
“Questions I get asked as a redhead,” she captioned her video, dressed in a pink tank top and jeans.
First up on her list was a spicy term Lauren hated and is generally considered derisory: “Do you like the term ginger?”
Larsen’s answer was an emphatic: “No.”
This was followed by another classic: “Can I count your freckles?”
Again, her reply was short and swift: “Nope, sorry there’s too many.”
Rounding these off was this priceless one: “Do you even get a tan?”
Of course not, she said: “Nope, I just burn thank you so much.”
Larsen smiled sardonically throughout her post: “We are just unique,” she said, “and I’m proud of it.”
Her video attracted an awful lot of attention with over 127,000 likes and thousands of comments.
It would seem there was a whole lotta love for a redhead, judging by the tone of the section.
“Gingers are different and cool,” was a comment typical of many.
“Freckles are a sign of great beauty and you prove it,” was the sweet observation of another.
One fan had an unusual take on it: “Gingers are better. We were kissed by fire.”
Concluding the post, this fan was already a fully signed-up member of the flame-haired club: “There is nothing more beautiful than a redhead girl,” he said.
