NFL docks Texans fifth-round pick over salary-cap violation

One team's accounting error is one league's salary-cap violation.

The NFL docked the Houston Texans a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and fined them $175,000 for providing former quarterback Deshaun Watson "with undisclosed compensation in the form of a membership at an alternative athletic facility in 2020."

The Texans' defense was that it was an accounting error, that they paid for Watson to train at the facili
