Shoppers go wild for Sainsbury’s 20p baby item sale & there’s an easy way to spot them that’s not yellow stickers
SHOPPERS are rushing to Sainsbury’s after a bargain hunter spilled the beans on their huge discounted baby range.
When one mum spotted a secret reduced section in her local supermarket, she went to inspect it further.
And she was delighted with what she found, as she bagged bags full of baby products for just 20p each.
Amongst her haul, she got Aveeno kids shampoo, boxes of Ella’s Kitchen organic juices and the brand’s sweetcorn and carrot melty sticks.
She also picked up Little Freddie’s blueberry and banana greek style yoghurt and some Tommee Tippee easy grip spoons.
Completing her purchases, she bought some fruity bakes for snacks, some banana soft biscotti and a mild vegetable curry with rice, suitable for ten months plus.
“Sainsbury’s had loads of baby items reduced to 20p each this morning!” she excitedly typed on the Facebook group Extreme Coupon and Bargains UK.
Alongside the snap of her goodies, she added: “Dates are good on all of them too :)”
The woman was also quick to reveal that you won’t find the products that are popular with parents by looking for the usual yellow stickers that signal that something is being sold off cheaper than its original price.
Instead, she told her fellow social media users to take a closer look at the labels on the shelves, as that’s where the discounts were shown.
She explained: “I got them from the shelf on the baby aisle.”
But what was the reason for the big price cuts?
The savvy shopper revealed: “I think the packaging is changing or Sainsbury’s are discontinuing it.
“So it should be everywhere hopefully.”
After she shared her news, other supermarket shoppers said they were keen to check out their store and get their hands on some similar items.
One wrote: “I’m on my way!”
A second typed: “Worth checking.”
Other Facebook users tagged their friends and asked them to have a look for them, or notified them of the deal.
One wrote: “If you’re at Sainsbury’s and see any of this, let me know please.”
While another added: “Get stocked up!”
