Woman raped by man while his pal kept watch after being approached in street
A WOMAN has been raped by a man, whose pal kept watch, after the pair approached her in the street.
A reconstruction of the horror attack, which allegedly took place in the early hours of June 25 last year, has now featured on the BBC’s Crimewatch Live programme in an appeal to members of the public for help.
Cops have also released a CCTV image of the two men they wish to question in relation to the assault in Tottenham, North London.
The Metropolitan Police said that the victim, a woman in her 30s, was approached by two men on the street, before one of them raped her.
The first man was described as being possibly Asian or Turkish, around 5’8″ tall with a stocky build and a thick, tidy black beard.
He was wearing a grey hoodie and, according to the victim, did not speak with an English accent.
The other was described as also possibly Asian or Turkish, of similar height but with a slim build.
He was reported to have an oval, slim face with short, receding hair and a light brown beard.
He was wearing a black jumper and stood watch while the attacked allegedly took place.
Both men then walked off together.
Detective Sergeant Pembe Rayif said: “This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim and we are doing everything we can to support her and bring the perpetrator to justice.
“We are very keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images we have released and we would ask anyone who can identify them to come forward.”
