[Men's Wrestling] Talon Pisarchuk moves to the 2023 NCWA National Semi-Final Round at 165 Pounds

Williamson's Talon Pisarchuk (JR/Bensalem, PA) moved onto the 2023 NCWA national championship semifinal round this morning, as he defeated Bobby Shepard from Washington State University, in commanding fashion in the quarterfinal round via technical fall, 15-0.  He will next take on Landon Kissel of Apprentice tonight (Friday evening) in semifinal action.  

Sadly, Williamson's other three remaining wrestlers, Ainsley Doyle (SR/Wilmington, DE), Chase Whartnaby (JR/Chichester, PA) and Michael Kling (FR/New Castle, DE) all lost and were eliminated from the tournament.  Despite that, those three combined with Daniel Tommarelli (SR/Springfield, PA) and Talon to set Williamson wrestling history.  It was the first time in school history that five or more national qualifiers each won at least two matches at nationals!  That is an incredible accomplishment, with hopefully even bigger things to come later tonight.
