JJ I think is a bit of a worry; I think the expectation was he’d kick on this year and he hasn’t.
One or 2 got unduly carried away last season about how good he was iirc.... understandable given that there were literally no other positives TBF.
The fact he's only getting a look in because 3 not especially brilliant CMs are out and he's behind Chang and Hall in the pecking order tells its own story about the level he's at.
But good luck to him, he's young and as players like Dan Burn show it can take years for players to reach their potential.
James is fine at this level , probably our most comfortable in possession , whenever he’s played , he’s been out of position unfortunate because of our overcrowded centre mids .
When Hannibal (and possibly hall) go in the summer he’ll kick on .
Hope so.
Personally I think it's way too early to judge what level he'll end up at yet.
But that's a good thing - means he's got a chance & the potential to kick on.
