Match of the Day latest — Gary Lineker pulled by BBC after tweet, 20-minute show aired WITHOUT commentary or punditry

MATCH of the Day aired WITHOUT any commentary – with the show lasting just 20 minutes on Saturday night.

The fallout from Gary Lineker’s suspension from BBC rumbles on, with his fellow BBC colleagues Ian Wright and Alex Scott also stepping back from their duties.

Football Focus was cancelled while Final Score, which normally airs at 4.30pm on Saturday, also didn’t go ahead.

BBC have also confirmed that Match of the Day 2 on Sunday night will receive the same treatment.
