I was just about to push out my baby when the nurse made a rude comment about the name I’d chosen – it made me cry
A MUM has recalled how she was reduced to tears by a comment the nurse made about her baby’s name just as she was about to give birth.
Maclaine took to her TikTok page to share a video explaining the reaction to the moniker she’d picked ahead of welcoming her little girl into the world.
Over the video of her newborn daughter, she wrote: “Nurse right before I started pushing: ‘You can’t give her that name. That’s a boy name’.”
“That made me cry,” the tune in the background said.
People were quick to comment on the video, with many insisting they didn’t understand the reaction to the name Winslow.
“Winslow??? for that response I would have thought you were naming her Darryl or Gerard,” one wrote.
“Sheesh. Winslow is so cute!”
“Winslow? We kiddin? That name is SO cute! Love it,” another added.
“Winslow is a cute gender neutral name,” a third commented.
“I thought you were going to say you planned to name her Arthur or Henry.”
