I spent £30 on an entire weekly shop at Sainsbury’s – here’s everything I bought and there are some treats too
EVERYONE is looking for ways to save money on their weekly food shop amid the cost of living crisis.
So we should take some tips from Emily, who managed to do her entire Sainsbury’s shop for just £30.
Emily took to TikTok to share a video of everything she bought in the supermarket, kicking off with a pack of candles, “because why not?”
She then moved onto the fruit and vegetable section, where she grabbed some nectarines, bananas, avocados, courgettes, potatoes, a single red pepper and a pack of celery for a recipe.
Emily then got some meatless mince, Quorn chicken-style slices, and a piece of salmon.
She picked up some vegetable samosas and pilau rice, which she was planning to have with a curry.
In the next aisle, she got some vegan yoghurts and some Kefir, because she “thought it would be healthy”.
Some Mr Kipling chocolate cake slices were less healthy, but still delicious, as well as some cracker crisps, a tin of Branston baked beans and some chicken instant noodles.
She concluded her shopping haul with some bin liners, a pack of penne pasta and some bagels.
“Love this!” one person commented on the video.
“so satisfying lol,” another added.
But others questioned how Emily was going to turn that into a week’s worth of meals.
“that lasts a week?” one wrote.
As well as sharing shopping hauls on her page, Emily regularly posts recipes, including for her favourite veggie bolognese and veggie sausage gnocchi bake.
