The Championship club want to rent a site — the Elite Performance and Innovation Centre used by rugby union club Wasps before they went into administration — in nearby Henley-in-Arden until the end of the season.
Discussions are at an advanced stage and Birmingham hope a rental agreement can be finalised this week.
