Woman, 50, suddenly dies at home in Barry as man, 50, is arrested after cops called in early hours of morning

A MAN has been arrested after a woman, 50, died suddenly at her home.

Police were called to an address in Barry, South Wales, at 3.30am on Sunday.

A man, 50, was arrested in connection with the woman’s death.

Police remain in the Gladstone Road area, with a scientific investigation unit currently in attendance.

A section of the road near Gladstone Primary School is currently cordoned off, with forensic personnel in white overalls seen entering and leaving.

South Wales Police said: “We are investigating the sudden death of a 50-year-old woman in Barry. Police were called to a property in Gladstone Road at around 3.30am yesterday morning (Sunday, March 12).

“A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her death.”
