My long-term girlfriend has dumped me saying she isn’t ready but still flirts by text

DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER four years together, my girlfriend finished with me, saying she was not ready for a relationship.

Now I have discovered she has found someone else.

I am heartbroken.

I am 31 and my girlfriend is 29.

She suddenly turned nasty the other week, saying she can’t be in a relationship with me and if I want to stay in her life I can only message her when she needs help.

Still when I compliment her or say I’m missing her, she starts to flirt back on text.

I really don’t understand her mixed signals.
