I’m a 5’7” gym girl weighing 170 lbs – my measurements mean I’m considered ‘obese,’ but I’m just ‘strong’
A FITNESS fan has revealed her exact measurements to make a point about BMI.
She said that at five foot seven and 170 pounds, she is considered clinically obese.
However, she delivered a valuable health lesson in body fat percentage and muscle mass.
In a video posted to TikTok, Ally Carter (@fitnessbyally) posed in a red sports bra and white panties.
She flexed her muscles for the camera, clearly showing that she is in excellent physical shape.
“This is what my five-foot-seven, 77 kilogram body looks like,” she wrote over the video.
“According to the NHS, I’m obese,” she revealed.
She had some choice words for those who label her measurements as unhealthy.
“Stop being fixated on weight,” the gym fan said.
“Weight don’t mean nothing,” she added in the caption.
Ally also shared a candid history of her own struggle with weight.
“For ages I was fixated on being 60 kilograms,” she revealed. “As you can imagine, that lead to unhealthy habits.”
She said she found it harder for her body to stabilize at a lower weight range.
“That weight is so unmaintainable for me,” the fitness junkie said.
The video struck a chord with viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
“Looking strong girl,” one fan wrote.
