[Women's Bowling] SXU Women's Bowling Ends Season at ITC Sectionals

Addison, Ill. – Junior Heidi Johnson (Elwood, Ill./Joliet Central) was the top individual finisher for the Saint Xavier University women's bowling team at the Intercollegiate Singles Championships (ISC) Sectional Qualifier this past Friday at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill. after placing 60th in a field of 216 bowlers with a total of 1,083 pins. The top eight individuals all advanced to the ISC National Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. that takes place from April 19-20. The Cougars competed in the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) Sectional Qualifier bowling in 32 Baker Game on Saturday and 32 more Baker Games on Sunday. SXU was in fifth place out of 17 teams after day one with 6,058 pins and finished sixth overall on Sunday with 5,961 pins for a total of 12,019. The top four teams all advanced to the ITC National Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. that goes from April 19-21 with the finals on April 22.
