Hurricanes F Andrei Svechnikov (knee) done for season

Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov will have season-ending reconstructive surgery on Thursday to repair his right ACL.

Svechnikov, 22, sustained the injury in the Hurricanes' 4-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday. In addition to missing the remainder of the regular season, Svechnikov will also be sidelined for the playoffs.

Carolina is currently 44-14-8, in first place in the Metropolitan Division
