COLUMBUS — An Ohio Senate committee on Wednesday called for railroads to install devices every 10 to 15 miles along railroad tracks to provide early warnings of problems like the wheel bearing failure believed to be at least partially to blame for last month's catastrophic freight train derailment in East Palestine.
