Hollyoaks actor Connor Calland announces engagement to girlfriend of three years
HOLLYOAKS star Connor Calland has announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Monica Geldart.
The actor, who was best known for playing bad boy Jordan Price on the Channel 4 soap, revealed the happy news in a sweet post uploaded to Instagram earlier tonight.
They captioned the snap which shows two Polaroid snaps – one of Monica showing off her engagement ring and another of Connor and Monica beaming for the camera as she holds up her hand.
Monica wrote: “a million times, yes.” She then followed it with a red heart and an engagement ring emoji.
The couple’s pals and followers – including Connor’s Hollyoaks co-stars – were quick to congratulate the pair on their happy news.
Emily Burnett gasped: “OH MY GAWWWWDDDDDD.”
While Gabriel Clark commented: “OOOOHHHH MYYYY GOOODDDDD!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS.”
And another posted: “Oh that’s amazing! Huge congratulations!!!”
Connor and Monica often share loved up snaps to each other’s Instagram feeds.
It’s thought they have been dating since around 2020.
News of the couple’s engagement comes just a week after Connor was rushed to hospital after suffering a freak incident while playing football.
The Sun Online revealed how the soap favourite had been left needing emergency treatment after suffering multiple fractures in his arm and a dislocated knee.
Connor’s character made his first appearance in 2020 and left the village a year later after he was fatally stabbed.
