I transformed my drab council flat kitchen for £37 using B&M bargains – I was surprised by how good it looked
A MUM has transformed her boring council house kitchen for under £50.
Natasha Lawson took to TikTok to show off the DIY makeover she gave her kitchen council house.
The mum posts on social media under the username @natashalawson20 and shared her clip with the caption ‘day 49 of turning my council house into a home’.
Trading retailer B&M gifted Natasha with a £50 gift card to buy the DIY items she required to fix up her kitchen.
The influencer flocked to her nearest store, purchasing two Stanley knives, sanding blocks, two rolls of wood effect and two rolls of grey.
Natasha then got to work on prepping the walls to get ride of the “disgusting grime and grease” before applying the first coat of paint.
The mum then put her sanding blocks to good use, evening out the cracked paint on other walls around the house.
After the second coat of paint, Natasha worried that the walls look “quite patchy”, hoping for better results when she applied the third layer of paint the following day.
The video accrued 106k likes, with users left open-mouthed at the transformation.
One said: You’re inspiring me so much I’m doing the same thing at the moment. Can’t wait to see how your kitchen looks transformed.”
Another chimed in: “You are doing amazing. The paint look a bit watery/thin that might be why you are needing quite a few coats. Will look great once it’s done can’t wait.”
A third quipped: “I wish b&m would ask me to take part in a £50 budget challenge.”
