Dundalk took the honours in the 172nd Louth Derby with Drogheda United at Weaver’s Park.

Stephen O’Donnell’s men made the breakthrough in the 65th minute when a great bit of skill from Rayhaan Tulloch set Connor Malley up for a shot and the midfielder picked his spot with aplomb.

And there were more jubilant scenes in the away section in the dying minutes when Nathan Shepperd threw himself to his left to make a brilliant save and keep Freddie Draper’s late penalty out.
