A DOG trainer has revealed the easiest breed to train and says they make wonderful pets.
Posting under the username Will Atherton on TikTok, the self-dubbed ‘Canine Behaviourist’ is known for his expert opinions on dogs.
And Will says that one breed of our furry friends in particular is the easiest to train.
The dog trainer revealed that Labrador Retrievers are ideal if you want a dog that listens well to commands.
But he also says that the ever-popular Golden Retrievers are up there with the most manageable.
Will, from Derbyshire, said: “Not only do I think they are the easiest breed to train but they’re also my favourite breed.
“They’re also the breed that I think the vast majority of people should own and that is the Labrador Retriever.
He added that he would also accept the Golden Retriever as a “close second”.
The video has since gone viral with 268,000 views and over 10,000 likes.
As always TikTokers were quick to weigh in with their own opinions after watching the video.
One viewer said: “Yessss golden retrievers are the absolute best. my dog is an angel I love her.”
While another commented: “Had them both together as puppies and they are inseparable and best dogs in every way.”
A third said: “Retriever owner here. I wouldn’t look at another breed after having my girl, she is so amazing.”
It comes as Will also gave his expert opinion on the worst breeds to get if you live a busy life.
Will revealed the three canines you do not want if you are away from home a lot.
In another video, the canine behaviourist revealed his favourite pooches that he says make the best pet when it comes to safeguarding the home and family.
Meanwhile, another dog trainer gave her top tips on how to look after a rowdy pup.
So if you have a naughty pup or are struggling to get your pet under control, you’ll need to listen up and take notes.
