WATCH: New Ford, Corvette GT3s On Track At Sebring (UPDATED)
The new Ford Mustang GT3 and Corvette Z06 GT3.R have been spied out testing in Sebring this week, as part of the test days at the Floridian circuit organised by Toyota following the ‘Super Sebring’ weekend.
As previously revealed on DSC, the Mustang’s run at Sebring is its first test, ahead of its forthcoming global race debut in 2024.
Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford Motor Company, has shown off a video of the car.

Ford Performance has also released images of the car from the test.
YouTuber ‘Lanky Turtle’ has also been trackside, releasing pictures of the new Corvette, which will also debut in 2024, and is expected to feature in both the IMSA GTD and WEC GT3 ranks.

The Mustang wasn’t out running while Lanky Turtle was at the circuit, but he did manage to get some footage of the new Corvette running on track alongside the single Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 HYBRID that is out testing as part of the team’s Le Mans preparations. It serves as somewhat of a visual preview for the 2024 FIA WEC season…
“We have been testing very little this year, we needed a third test. When Portimao was added to the calendar we had to move our last test. It isn’t ideal,” TGR technical director Pascal Vasselon told DSC during the FIA WEC Prologue. “It’s our last test.”
Toyota is using this track time as its final pre-Le Mans endurance test. It brought a third GR010 to the USA specifically for the running this week.

All six full-season FIA WEC Toyota drivers have been behind the wheel, plus the team’s nominated reserve driver for 2023, Kazuki Nakajima.
At Ford Harry Tincknell and Joey Hand have been sharing the Mustang, while Tommy Milner is believed to have been scheduled to drive for Corvette.
