Jess Wright’s baby Presley rushed to hospital as she says ‘there’s nothing worse than seeing him in pain’
JESS Wright has revealed her baby son Presley has been rushed off to hospital – as she struggles with “seeing him in pain”.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star took to her Instagram stories on Wednesday evening to reveal little Presley had been unwell.
Jess, 37, who welcomed baby boy Presley in May last year, revealed he was taken to hospital after coming down with a “throat infection”.
The protective mum could be seen cuddling up to her little one at home after taking a trip to A&E and their local doctor.
Presley looked comfortable in a Babygro, while worried mum Jess donned her pyjamas and a fluffy dressing gown.
“After a hospital visit & a doctor’s appt, a few horrible days & lots of cuddles, we now know our baby has a bad throat infection,” she wrote.
“Praying he’s on the mend now, nothing worse than seeing them in pain and not knowing how to help.”
“I love you baby boy, so much that it hurts,” she penned to her son.
Jess followed up with an update showing Presley smiling and happy as they headed out for a stroll together in the evening.
The tot sat back in his pram as Jess gushed over how he had been a “brave boy”, writing: “I love you so much.”
It comes shortly after Jess was comforted by fans after revealing her son Presley hadn’t been very well.
“Mad few days over here. Skiing for 48 hours for husbands delayed 40th celebrations with friends, followed by home to my baby who then became very poorly,” she told her following.
“Lots of cuddles & rest over here for this little one. Sorry for the radio silence be back soon.”
Elsewhere, Jess opened up about her battle with postnatal depression, admitting it was a “scary” time.
A few months after giving birth Jess opened up about her mental health struggles, explaining that her post natal depression took away her new-mum happiness.
Giovanna Fletcher touched upon it again in the most recent episode of the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, saying that calling it “baby blues” is “totally dismissive of what it is”.
Jess said: “Totally, because I thought when they said that it was just like ‘Oh you might feel down for a couple of days, because it’s called the baby blues.’
“I’m like, ‘You’re just totally disguising post natal depression, which is debilitating’.
“I had that for a month, and then all of a sudden it just lifted.”
She continued: “It’s more scary because A, I didn’t know how long it was going to last. Some women suffer for like six months, and some more.
“And B, I just couldn’t enjoy anything with him. I was just like on my last nerve. That’s the only way I can describe it.
“My friends came around a few days later and I just collapsed and I was like ‘I’m on my last nerve and I don’t know which way to turn’.
“Not only am I on my last nerve with this baby because something wasn’t right, he was constipated at that point, but also, I’ve never felt a level of lowness…
“Well I have, but I feel that level of lowness right now, which isn’t nice, I’ve just had a baby.”
