My husband vanished a year ago, I won’t give up on finding him so he can meet our baby son
A DAD who has been missing for a year will be featured in a new TV programme in a bid to “get him home”.
Finn Creaney, 33, was last seen around 2.15pm on Friday, March 25 last year at Altnaharra in Sutherland near Loch Naver.
The married dad-of-one, from Tain, Easter Ross – who has extensive bushcraft knowledge – was described by loved ones at the time as being the happiest he has ever been and his disappearance a complete mystery.
Finn’s wife Lucy revealed over the weekend that his case is set to be featured on a new Channel 5 series called Vanished : The hunt for Britains Missing presented by Dan Walker.
In a post on Facebook, the florist said she gave a detailed interview, adding: “This is way out my comfort zone but I will do anything to get Finn home.
“It’s nearly an entire year without that amazing soul in our life.”
It’s hoped the high-profile show will help shed further light on cases that have baffled agencies involved in searches and left anguished families searching for answers.
Lucy added that the search for her husband was still active, sharing on the Search for Finn Creaney Facebook page: “We have been busy pushing on with the search including getting drone pics to go over the land in a different way.”
Anyone who may have seen Finn or have any information at all is urged to contact Search for Finn Creaney Facebook or Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer quoting reference 0912 of March 28.
Programme makers said: “Every 90 seconds someone is reported missing in the UK. Most are found within hours, many are located in a matter of days… but there are some who seem to disappear, often with little or no trace. And there are more than 5000 people – a third of them children – who have been missing for over a year.
“This new, live, weekly series focuses on people who’ve gone missing across the UK – some cases well known, others not; each one with a unique set of causes, consequences and circumstances.”
