The suspension of mobile internet and SMS services in two districts of Punjab, Tarn Taran and Ferozepur, has been extended until noon on March 24, due to public safety reasons. The rest of the state's territory had its mobile internet services resumed on March 21. Essential services, such as banking and hospital facilities, were excluded from the ban, which was introduced last week following police action against members of 'Waris Punjab De' under the leadership of Amritpal Singh.
