"Star India is demanding an 8% hike in subscription payouts from the MSOs," a top TV distribution executive said on condition of anonymity. "However, the MSOs are resisting the hike since Star comprises the biggest chunk of their annual content costs. Even a small increase in the subscription payout will hurt their bottomline."
