U.S. dollar rises as central banks hike rates

NEW YORK, March 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar strengthened in late trading on Thursday as market participants digested major central banks' rate decisions.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, increased 0.15 percent to 102.5224.

In late New York trading, the euro decreased to 1.0845 U.S. dollars from 1.0879 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound decrease
