Midweek preview: Bassett face Rovers return fixture
Royal Wootton Bassett Town play another away Hellenic League Premier Division fixture on Tuesday night as they visit Tuffley Rovers (7.45pm kick off).
After Saturday's trip to title challengers Cribbs, Sam Collier's side now face a contest against a Rovers team who are at the opposite end of the table.
With Tuffley fighting for their Premier Division survival, Tuesday's clash is set to be a difficult one.
Indeed, when the teams met in Wiltshire in early February, Bassett came from behind to earn a 2-1 win, triumphing courtesy of Louis Spalding's late goal.
Nevertheless, Bassett can take confidence from their excellent recent record against Tuffley. Bassett are currently on a six game unbeaten run against Rovers, a stretch which includes five wins. And they have lost just three times in the teams' last 17 meetings.
Tuffley's Glevum Park has been a happy hunting ground throughout Bassett's tenure in the Hellenic League too, with just two defeats in twelve league visits.
Meanwhile, there's home action in the Wiltshire League Premier Division on Tuesday night for the Development team as they entertain Malmesbury Victoria Development (Sustain Stadium, 7.30pm kick off).
Bassett will be looking to avenge a 3-0 defeat against Malmesbury earlier in the season.
Admission is £3 for adults and concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.
Then on Thursday the Under 18s make the short trip to face Calne Town in the Wiltshire League Floodlit Division Cup semi final (7.45pm kick off).
Bassett drew 1-1 in their league visit to Bremhill View, though triumphed 3-1 in the return fixture at home.
