Low energy but not no energy
Hello Friends,
A rainy start to the new week and the very small surf conditions continue too. Putting some numbers on it, as of 0745 the S-SSE swell was a metre at 9 seconds (with some 13-sec component to add interest). The air was calm, so surface conditions were glassy. Tide was bottoming out at 0.6 m as of 0740. It’s not going to change much because the high at 1330 is just 1.2 m.
Too rainy for a pic, so will post something one or two and share my thoughts about the coming surf week update a little after 0900…
Weather Situation
Northerly winds this morning ahead of a trough, which will bring a southerly change to the southern waters during this afternoon and evening. A low pressure system will form well offshore within this trough tonight and move away during Tuesday and Wednesday. After this, northerly winds will shift westerly and then southerly mid-week as a trough and cold front cross the region.
