Five explosive Casualty spoilers ahead of Faith’s special flashback episode
CLINICAL practitioner Faith Cadogan is caught up with her past in upcoming scenes.
The Casualty character portrayed by Kirsty Mitchell is haunted by a disturbing flashback when a familiar face resurfaces.
1. Shock return
BBC One viewers will undoubtedly remember Saturday’s cliff-hanger during which Faith was shown turning to prescription drugs was exposed.
But why has she fallen into the addiction? Fans of the medical drama will find out this week.
In scenes due to air Saturday, April 1, 2023, Faith is preparing herself to go to work when her daughter Natalia finds her crushing diazepam.
She quickly covers by claiming they’re only painkillers for her back but Natalia almost sees right through her.
However, while in the ED, Faith realises she can’t shut out her past completely when Angus – who goes by the name Warren – arrives.
As regular viewers of the long-running soap will know Angus was a man Faith brought home with her in 2022, which had catastrophic consequences.
2. A troubling flashback
After spotting Angus in the Holby City hospital wards, Faith goes back through their night together.
It’s quickly revealed that Angus was the one to possibly get Faith hooked on meds and flashback scenes will show him offering her drugs.
Faith is thrown by the memory and later reminds Angus that he robbed her the last time they’d seen each other.
He apologises but Faith is clearly distressed.
3. Faith gets an ultimatum
Things go from bad to worse for Faith as Kerrel, her patient from previous scenes, is admitted into the ED again for a new condition caused by injecting drugs.
Faith is unsettled and rushes to the toilets, unable to get the images of her night with Angus out of her mind.
Kerrel notices her dismissive attitude and grows increasingly frustrated before following her.
She soon realises that Faith was responsible for her diazepam going missing during her last trip to the hospital.
Faith is given an ultimatum – she has the choice to get Kerrel more drugs or she will tell the truth.
Will Faith go along with it to save her career?
4. Angus’ actions haunt Faith
While that remains to be seen, Faith is later unnerved when she meets Angus’ girlfriend, Sophie.
She soon goes back to the night she spent with him and remembers being adamant on having a good night with Angus, accepting the drugs he offered her.
But she spirals when she flashes back to Angus returning to the bed as she passed out…
5. Iain flies to the rescue
After a difficult day, Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) notices that Faith isn’t being herself and asks her to tell him what’s wrong.
Faith explains to him what Angus did that night but she doesn’t tell him the full story about the drugs she’s been taking ever since.
Iain encourages her to go to the police and promises to support her, whatever she decides to do.
How will Faith cope and what choice will she make?
Casualty is back with these scenes on Saturday, April 1, from 9pm.
