I gave my tired-looking kitchen a makeover for under £10 – people say it looks stunning & it was so quick & easy to do
ANY homeowner will know that decorating your house doesn’t come cheap.
But one savvy woman named Alexandra Chard Boampong has proven that you haven’t got to splash the cash to achieve impressive results inside your home.
Instead, she revealed how she gave her boring white kitchen a complete modern makeover for under £10.
And the best part? All Alexandra used was some leftover paint and £9.20 battery-operated lights from Shein which she placed underneath the kitchen cupboards.
The TikTok user (afialexiss) posted a video showing the before and after of her kitchen transformation, and explained how the white walls were in desperate need of a splash of colour to prevent the room from looking so “clinical.”
In the clip, she explains: “My before and after DIY for under £10 – I love how this came out.
“I took out the wood panel from the side of the cabinets and
created a bit more space because I’m going to put another shelf to the side.”
“The paint I’m using is old paint I bought for another project so I just reused that.

“The only thing I bought for this product are the lights I bought from Shein for £9.20.”
She continues: “I just wanted my kitchen to stand out a little bit from the previous one where it’s all white and looks like a clinic.
“I just wanted a bit of colour.”
Alongside the video, Alexandra penned: “Under £10. How I madeover my kitchen by only painting.
“I wanted to give the kitchen a different character other than white everywhere so I used my old paint I had and mixed in some PVA to help with moisture as kitchens can produce a lot of heat.”
It wasn’t long before Alexandra’s video went viral, racking up thousands of views and hundreds of comments, with many quick to commend her very impressive handiwork.
“Beautiful really elevated your space,” enthused one.
A second praised: “Amazing work hun!”
A third commended: “Love it!”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “Omg it’s gorgeous.”
Another noted: “That looks fantastic!”
A further added: “We love a DIY babe.”
And one more penned: “Amazingggg job!! Your kitchen looks stunning!”
