I’m a Dollar Tree shopper – I got a massive gardening haul for under $25 including seeds, potting soil, and cute tools
NOW that spring is finally here, it may be tempting to go on a massive shopping spree to get much-needed gardening supplies.
One savvy shopper found everything she needs for her garden at Dollar Tree, and her grand total came out to under $25.
The clever gardener, who goes by @green_scream on TikTok, filmed her trip to the discount store.
In the video, she filled her cart with a wide variety of supplies to start her garden, and some adorable additions to give it a personal touch.
“You won’t believe what I got from Dollar Tree for under $25,” she said, panning the camera over her local store’s impressive layout.
She said the well-stocked garden section was unexpected.
“When I walked in, I found palettes of potting soil, which was a complete surprise,” she said.
“The bags were kind of small” at only eight pounds, the TikTok user added, especially compared to larger bags from garden stores.
But at only $1.25 each, they were too good a deal to pass up.
Along with the soil, she discovered biodegradable seed-starting pots. A pack of 10 cost $1.25.
“You can just pop those straight into your soil,” the excited shopper said.
Next, she consulted the seed section, where most varieties were priced at four packets for $1.
“There was a huge variety of fruit and vegetable seed packets, and wildflower seed packets as well,” she said.
Her footage showed a full wall of seeds, and even some spillover onto the adjacent shelves.
She picked up tools including a small hand cultivator and some shears, then added a cute impulse buy.
“Lastly, I got some decorative plant ties,” she said, holding up the package.
The flexible ties were shaped like cute, friendly frogs, with spindly arms and legs to grip stems.
In total, the shopper snagged 48 pounds of soil, 40 biodegradable seed-starter pots, six types of seeds, and an assortment of tools.
Even though her haul was massive, the price tag was not.
“The grand total for all of this, including some snacks, was $24.80,” the Dollar Tree aficionado boasted.
