Update in hunt for missing gamer Jordan Moray, 33, as cops reveal mysterious ‘evidence’ & family issue desperate plea
POLICE have revealed a mysterious update in the hunt for a missing gamer.
Jordan Moray, who was 33 when he disappeared, vanished without a trace in August 2019.
His case has now been brought into the spotlight again on a new Channel Five show.
Jordan was reported missing from Aberdare, Wales, after his family arrived at his home and found his door unlocked and his gaming machine left on.
His phone was also still there.
But despite a massive search effort, with many police resources poured in, there has been no confirmed sightings of Jordan.
Last night, a new series called VANISHED: The Hunt for Britain’s Missing People looked into the disappearance of the 33-year-old.
In it, police revealed the contents of a letter they received three months after the gamer went missing.
South Wales Police Sergeant Gareth Davies explained that the letter was from someone who felt they had information on Jordan’s disappearance.
He said the person wrote that they “should have come forward a little bit sooner” and that Jordan had “been on my mind for weeks”.
The Sergeant said the person claimed they had been walking their dog along the road in the early hours of the morning after Jordan was last seen.
It was then that they saw a Land Rover parked up on the kerb by a school.
They wrote that they heard rustling and someone shouting out: “If anyone is out there, help me.”
The letter writer also suggested some possible leads, which the force had explored, but there were more they could look into.
Davies said there may be other ways for anyone with info on Jordan to help, adding: “We know that Jordan has a driving licence.
“We also know there has been no movement at all in his finances since he left. If he is living off-grid he is probably working cash in hand.”
Show host Dan Walker told the Mirror ahead of the show: “We are trying to work out what happened and where he is now and what we can do to shine a light on that.
“It was a strange set of circumstances when Jordan went missing because he had a games console still on and his mobile phone on charge.”
Talking about the police’s letter, the host added: “They’ve talked about wanting to find out who wrote that letter, but they’ve never revealed the contents.
“They’re going to be showing us that letter for the first time, we’ll be reading out that letter, and it is somebody who thinks that they saw something that night and heard something that night.”
The show also featured a pre-recorded interview with Jordan’s mum Debbie, who has made countless appeals over the years to find her boy.
She said: “He’s best friends with his brother Josh, Josh is terrible – looking over the gate constantly to see if he’s coming, constantly. I ask myself all the time why, why Lord why.”
